Community benefits projects

Securicom defined its determination to support quality cultural projects, which was confirmed several times with the manifestation "Viennese Ball", the international film camera festival “Manaki Brothers”, the concert of the Haydn Trio, Dance Fest, Skopje Summer festival and others.

This year the Vienna Ball marked its fifteenth anniversary. Securicom has been supporting this renowned event for the past twelve years. The ball is organized by the Infinitas Association for Cultural Cooperation. Above all, this ball is a traditional symbol of the friendship between Skopje and Vienna. Just like any other year, this year once again the waltzes, the evergreen music, the dances of the professional dancers marked the event.

The International Film Camera Festival “Manaki Brothers” is the first festival in the world to honor cinematographers’ work and one of the few cultural events of national importance for the Republic of Macedonia. This festival is held under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Macedonia and supported by the Minsitry of Culture.

The ensemble “Haydn Trio Eisenstadt” was established in 1992. In 1994, this ensemble was awarded with the Honorary Diploma for the best piano trio by the renowned “Academia Chigiana” in Siena, Italy, as well as a scholarship for the best foreign contribution at the entire festival. Based on the celebration of 200 years from the death of the composer Joseph Haydn, a concert was organized of this renowned trio supported by Securicom.

On Aril 7th the seventh festival for modern dances – Tanc-fest 2011 was opened on the big stage at the Macedonian opera and ballet. The opening act was the latest production Holland Plus and Bravo Charlie of the Skapino ballet company from Rotterdam. Tanc-fest is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The festival lasted until April 13th and this was the second year that Securicom supported this prominent event.

The international happening entitled Prom Parade 2011 was held on May 20th and was organized by the Directorate for culture and art in Skopje and the Ritam Plus Dance Studio. The event was organized under the auspices of the City of Skopje and was also supported by the Office of the Special Representative of the European Union to the Republic of Macedonia. This was the third year that Securicom supported this event during which high school graduates from Macedonia and the entire region, danced the Quadrille dance to Johann Strauss’s opera music from The Bat.

The 31st edition of Skopje Summer 2010 Festival was officially opened on 21 June with the Chamber Orchestra Almacian’s Obsession from Serbia. This year, the Skopje Summer Festival features 17 concerts, nine expositions, eight theatre performances and national costumes review, fashion show, promotion of books etc. For the second year in a row Securicom supports this important international manifestation.As a company accountable to the society, Securicom will continue the support projects that enrich the cultural life in the country, within its possibilities.
